Save Thousands Compared to Funeral Homes

At Northeast Cremation Service, we believe that a professional, dignified service should be accessible to every family. Our memorial and graveside ceremonies are led by experienced and licensed funeral directors at a price that is often 25-30% less than traditional funeral homes.

What is a Memorial Service

  • A memorial service is a farewell ceremony held to honor and say goodbye to a loved one.
  • It is held after cremation, with the cremated remains present in an urn rather than a casket.
  • The service includes traditional rituals such as readings, music, and shared memories, similar to a standard funeral.
  • Services can be held at a church, community hall, or any other meaningful location.
  • Afterwards, families may choose to inter the urn at a cemetery, keep it at home, or scatter the remains at a place of significance.

What is a Graveside Service

  • A graveside service is a brief farewell ceremony held outdoors at the burial site.
  • The cremated remains are present in an urn at the gravesite during the service.
  • It typically includes prayers, readings, and final words shared by family and friends.
  • It is held at a cemetery or other burial grounds.
  • The burial takes place at the conclusion of the service, with loved ones present.
